Dryzone Damp-proofing Cream

Damp-proofing & Rising Damp

Flaking paint, peeling wallpaper, a “musty” odour, and timber decay are among the most common symptoms of rising damp. Failure to treat rising damp properly can result in a house that is unpleasant to live in and difficult to sell, so it is important to choose an effective method of treatment.

Dryzone Damp-proofing Cream

Dryzone is a special damp-proofing cream that is introduced along the mortar course at regular intervals by injecting it into pre-drilled holes. The Dryzone then diffuses before curing to form a continuous water-repellent barrier. This prevents the damp from rising up the wall. Since the 1950s, liquid chemical injection systems, which work in a similar way have been used to treat rising damp with a high degree of success. Learn more about Dryzone damp-proofing cream …

Proven Quality

Dryzone damp-proofing cream has also been tested independently by the British Board of Agrément (BBA), UK member of the European Union of Agrément. The BBA is a Government-partnered testing organisation that has been providing authoritative and independent information on building products for over 30 years. Not all damp-proofing treatments have passed the tests necessary to achieve BBA approval. Using a BBA certified product, such as Dryzone, is your assurance that the product has been proven fit for the purpose it was designed for.

Additional in-house test-work demonstrates that Dryzone:

  • Outperforms conventional damp-proofing treatments
  • Outperforms competing cream and gel-based systems
  • Has better spread-characteristics than competing systems
  • Performs in stone and rubble-filled walls

Dryzone damp-proofing cream is manufactured in the UK by Safeguard Europe Ltd. Details of Safeguard’s range of building restoration and refurbishment products can be found on the Safeguard website, www.safeguardeurope.com.

Fast:

Dryzone can be injected two to three times faster than ordinary liquid injection fluids. Treatment can therefore be completed earlier, minimising disruption to the householder.

Clean:

Dryzone is not injected under pressure. The risk of fluid leaking into neighbouring rooms or properties and causing damage is therefore virtually eliminated. Dryzone does not contain any hydrocarbon solvents, so has very little smell.

Effective:

Dryzone is the result of an extensive in-house research and development programme. This involved the screening and testing of hundreds of potential formulations. These tests demonstrate that Dryzone offers a higher degree of protection against rising damp than the chemical injection systems that it was designed to replace.
